Matthew Morgan

Co-Chief Executive Officer & Chief Commercial Officer

Prior to founding MWM, Matthew Morgan was one of the founding members of Poseidon Water Systems (PWS), a Permian focused produced water mobile recycling company. Before PWS, Matthew was a crude, gas, power and renewables trader—first as a crude marketer in Midland.  At Spark Energy, he scheduled and traded (gas) on TETCO and TGP, traded short-term power in ISONE and PJM, and traded renewable commodities  and managed the  environmental commodity positions. Matthew holds an BBA from Baylor University.

 

Stephen Johnson

Co-Chief Executive Officer & Chief Sustainability Officer

Prior to joining MWM, Stephen Johnson was the Founder and Vice Chairman of WaterBridge. Prior to that Stephen spent 5 years as the President and COO of Nabors Production Services and 4 years as the COO of Stonegate Production Co. Stephen holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Florida Atlantic University.

David Malkowski

Executive VP, Chief Financial Officer

Prior to joining MWM, David Malkowski spent twelve years with Energy Capital Solutions (ECS), a boutique investment banking firm located in Dallas, Texas, focused: (i) on providing restructuring and bankruptcy, valuation and fairness opinion, and M&A and A&D advisory services; and (ii) on raising private debt and equity capital to public and private energy companies, including upstream, oilfield service, midstream, renewable fuels and alternative energy, energy technology and energy transition clients.  While with ECS, David held various positions most recently that of Managing Director.  Prior to joining ECS, David spent two years with Credit Suisse as an Associate in the Global Energy Group both in New York and in Houston.  While with Credit Suisse, David worked on deal teams, executing both buy-side and sell-side M&A, initial public offerings, secondary equity offerings, high-yield debt underwritings, term loan financings, and restructurings. David holds a BBA in Finance from the University of Texas, McCombs School of Business and an MBA from The University of Chicago, Booth School of Business.

Trace Maurin

Vice President, Land

Prior to joining MWM for the past 7 years contracted to XTO Energy as surface Landman and project manager. Trace has been in the land and title field for over 25 years. He has dealt with many landowner negotiations for surface rights and usage. Trace has managed projects around the world from the US, Middle East, Africa, Europe and India involving large scale 2D and 3D geophysical exploration projects. Along with this he has also managed and operated a small oil and gas company in Texas.
